If you’re going to be in Washington, DC tomorrow, check out what will be a very special “First Friday” event for W. Curtis Draper. The tobacconist is celebrating its 123rd Anniversary, an accomplishment for any business. Stop by the store, and visit Jose Blanc, the sales director for La Aurora Cigars, which happens to be the oldest cigar factory in the Dominican Republic.
To celebrate the occasion, La Aurora has rolled a special cigar – a Preferido Lancero with a Brazilian maduro wrapper. Boxes of 10 are available for $100, or you can buy them at $11 a stick. Raffles will be held, and BBQ food service will be available from 12:30 PM to 2 PM ($20 or free with a purchase of $50 or more).
