Visit De La Concha on September 23, 2010 to dine and smoke with master cigar maker Jose Fuego. He will be on hand to promote his latest cigar, the Xikar HC series. The in-store dinner starts at 8 PM and includes a three-course meal from Rue 57 and a full open bar. Tickets cost $125 each.

So, what are these cigars like? According to De La Concha:

The HC Series Connecticut Shade: A cigar 5 years in the making, Jesus Fuego and Xikar worked to produce a cigar that stays true to the Connecticut character but with a little more strength and taste. This lighter but tasty blend has a filler blend from Costa Rica, Mexico and Nicaragua.

The HC Series Criollo: A perfectly balanced medium bodied blend of tobaccos from Honduras and Nicaragua. The 5 year aged Shade Grown Criollo wrapper from Nicaragua and the Sun Grown Criollo binder also from Nicaragua complete this great blend.

The HC Series Habano Colorado: This rich bodied cigar is smooth and full wrapped in a beautiful Habano Colorado leaf from the Jalapa Valley with a filler from Costa Rica, Jalapa and Honduras.

Here’s some info about Jesus Fuego:

Jesus Fuego was born and raised in Cuba. His family has been in the tobacco business since 1876. After completing his degree at Pinar de Rio University, he decided to continue his family heritage by entering the tobacco business in Honduras. After working for a variety of big name cigar makers, he launched his very successful brand, the J. Fuego.
