Pete Johnson’s much-anticipated experiment with vintage cigars is finally ready to be cut and lit. La Vérité Tatuaje A.O.C. uses tobacco from one vintage and one farm. The tobacco was grown on Pepin Garcia’s La Finca Estrella and was plucked in 2008. The cigars were rolled a year ago.

The former owner of La Gloria Cubana is back in action. Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. has just released a small-batch cigar called EP Carrilllo Short Run. They aren’t as expensive as the EP Carrillo Edición Inaugural 2009 Encore, reports Cigar Aficionado, which appeared on shelves back in December.
